Trends in Teal

From Fashion to Interiors, teal is anywhere at the moment. A deeper shade of turquoise it has a gorgeous rich tone that looks remarkable in the home. From velvety fabrics to bold paint and striking wall stickers, we have searched the high street and online retailers to find the best buys to give your home a Teal boost.

Firstly what colours can be teamed with teal? Retailers have gone all out on pairing it with chocolate brown. It does make a remarkable combination. However, As this aggregate does seem to be anywhere this year it may date rather quickly. For something a miniature distinct try it with dark grey for a very cool look or with gold for a truly sumptuous, roughly oriental style.

Next Home have some remarkable upholstery fabrics in this shade. We particularly love the Seville Stripe Lagoon that has distinct shades of teal with a fine chocolate brown stripe. This would look remarkable on a sofa or armchair and as the brown as quite subtle it would fit with other colours too.

Bhs Home is also using a lot of this vivid colour. From large chenille cushions to small sequined ones they have it covered. Any of these could be thrown on an existing neutral, grey or brown sofa to nod to the trend without shelling out on a new sofa.

For some in effect extra wallpaper we can't get enough of Fioravanti Azure by Designers Guild. Its a in effect extravagant flocked wallpaper in Teal and Gold - gorgeous!

If you want to add Teal to your walls without re-decorating we think the turquoise Winter Trees from Zazous are a perfect way to add a real wow factor with ease. With so much to pick from for any funds there in effect is no excuse - get tealed!
