Backgammon is a very beloved board game where varied strategies are used to win the game. People have played the game down through the years. The history of backgammon is a long and moving one. The history of backgammon has its origins back in the days of the Persian Empire. Backgammon has been around longer than any other board game as far as recorded history. There are also references to the game in writings from the Far East, Greece and Rome though too.

There has been evidence found, which it dates back as far as 5000 years, in the Iranian city called Shahr-e Sukhteh. This evidence included an ebony board of rectangular shape and the pieces were made of agate and turquoise. There were dice found too. The artifacts included some 60 pieces which is more than what the game today is played with, only 30 are used today. This shows to the rules being somewhat different from the version of backgammon played today.

The Egyptian also played a game called senat, which complex a variety of sizes of boards. Evidence of this game dates back as far as 3000 to 1788Bc but the rules to this day are unknown. Then during the first century (that is Ad by the way), Ludus Duodecim Scriptorum, which was derived from senat, transformed into a difference of 2 rows containing 12 points each. Then Alea appeared in the 6th century. These games and others started to be known as Tabula. This was just a broad term used for any board game.

Now for the more modern history of backgammon, the English first referred to a similar game to backgammon in 1025Ad as "Nard" or the more tasteless term of "Tables." This game was played in the English taverns during the middle ages. In the 15th century though, chess became more popular. Backgammon was also banned for a length of time, because gambling was done with it, during the time that Elizabeth I was in reign. Backgammon has been known by many names during backgammon history. The history of backgammon believes that the term "backgammon" came about in 1645. Most likely the term originated from the Saxon baec, which means back, and the Saxon gamen, which means game.

In the 1920s the doubling cube is believed to be added to the game. This enhanced the skill taken for the game. At this time it was mainly played by the upper class. Then in 1931 the rules for backgammon were altered into the rules we know today at least here in the Usa.

Today the history of backgammon also includes the computer. Many websites are available to buy backgammon equipment. Some People play online too. But the purists of backgammon history still prefer to play with a corporeal board and playing pieces as often as they can.

Good Suit Color Combinations

When you wear a suit, there are lots of things that other habitancy will notice about it: the cut, the estimate of buttons, the length of the jacket, the drape of the pants... But before anyone notices any of these things, the very first thing they will notice is the color of your suit. Color relays a strong and distinguished message, and therefore the color combinations you adopt with a suit should be thought about considered.

Charcoal gray is a great suit color to adopt if you need a "foundation" suit, meaning one good suit that you plan to wear to formal events such as weddings and funerals. You pretty much can't go wrong with gray-- it is appropriate for any occasion. One of the things that makes gray such a good selection is that, depending on the shade, it can be paired with either black or brown accessories. For a formal and serious look, pair a gray suit with a white button down shirt and a gray tie, along with brown shoes and a brown belt. To change it up a diminutive bit, wear a gray suit with a black button down shirt and a gray (the same shade of gray as your suit) tie, black shoes and a black belt. Or, a black and blue diagonally striped tie with black accessories. Want some more color? Try a pink shirt and a maroon paisley tie. Or a white shirt and an orange tie. See the point here? A charcoal gray suit is entirely versatile and can be paired with almost anything. There is scarcely a way that you can go wrong, as long as your clothing items are well tailored and fitted, of course.

Navy:

Another metal that has come to be quite popular in new years is Titanium which due to its lightness of weight and stamina has come to be very widely used for rings. 7 Ways to Use Color With confidence

I don't know how you feel about this, but I love color!!! I love seeing at color, wearing color, and using it in my home. Have you ever noticed that your color preferences turn with the seasons or the mood you're in? I've discovered that unavoidable colors can lift my spirits when I'm down, and ground me when I'm feeling overwhelmed and scattered. In the winter there are colors that I love to be surrounded with (usually warm, cozy colors), but when the hot Georgia summers arrive, those same colors no longer feel right.

So how do you select colors that work great in your home? The colors that feel right for you and your family. The colors that allow your personality shine through. I've put together some tips that I use when I want to pick colors with confidence. I hope you find them helpful!

Turquoise

Observe how colors are combined in nature. I learned this dinky tip in a quilt workshop that I attended some years ago. The trainer showed us slides of reptiles, bugs, exotic animals, birds, etc. Some were beautiful, some were disgusting, but seeing intimately at the combinations of colors was fascinating, and a wonderful learning experience! So...picture a blue sky against a turquoise sea next to a sandy beach. Take a nature walk and notice the color combinations of insects, animals, flowers, trees. Look at your surroundings as if you were a painter. Visualize the colors in your home.

Study rooms in home decorating magazines. As you go straight through the magazines, look at the room establish from a separate perspective. Instead of naturally mental "I love this room" or "I hate this room", look at each room for the colors used. How does it make you feel? Does your heart sing when you see the colors? Do they make you feel ended in, agitated, nervous, excited? When a color composition precisely speaks to you, that would be a good place to start in planning your room.

Be mindful of how a color makes you feel. I know that I keep going back to this point. But, to me, it's the most leading thing in selecting colors for anything... Your home or a new outfit. If it doesn't make you feel happy or joyful, comfortable or cozy, think twice before using it. Colors resonate differently with each person. I am not a fuchsia or ochre person. When I see them, I want to shake them away! But I attended a coffee last week where two women were each wearing fuchsia blouses, and they kept talking about how much they love that color. So no matter what the "hot" color of the occasion is, if you feel uncomfortable with it, you should never use it.

Less is more! Be cautious of using too much color in your home. Usually, one main color with 2-3 accent colors is a good place to begin. Make sure that the colors flow throughout your house. It doesn't have to be the same exact shade everywhere. Variations are good too. Remember that the amount of color you use needs to fit your personality. I've had a few clients that insisted on painting a separate interesting color in every room when we started. Once we narrowed it down to 3 or 4 colors the establish flowed much better. By using small amounts of the colors in each room, we created unity.

Collect paint chips. Once you have an idea of color combinations you might like to work with, visit a paint store. Pull some colors and play colse to with combining them. Think about all for the project, not just the walls. Will there be window treatments, cabinets, convention bedding? Find paint chips to relate the colors that you might want to use. Good yet...add some fabric swatches!

Poster board is your friend! When I'm selecting a new paint color for a project, I always advise painting a large piece of poster board. Having a large painted area precisely helps in my decision-making. Other great advantage is that you can move it colse to the space to see how the lighting affects it. Some colors look totally separate in light and shadows!

Be happy with your choice! Remember that pillows can be changed and walls can be repainted.
